Bi-Shelter™

The Bi-Shelter™ range consists of enclosed models for the accommodation of bicycles and up to 4 motorcycles.

To further combat the ever-increasing problem of cycle theft, a double gate with padlock facility is available as an optional extra.

The plastic-coated steel panels and Armortec® coating to the stands helps to prevent corrosion and achieves a long service-life without the need for costly painting and maintenance.

Bi-Shelter is always delivered in kit form for simple assembly by our customers.

Although normally supplied in standard colour schemes of blue or brown, Bi-Shelter is also available to special order in other colours for co-ordination with corporate colours or existing architecture.

Colours

SHELTER: The weather-face of the panels is available in a choice of: Ocean Blue BS 4800 (18.C.39), Vandyke Brown BS 4800 (08.B.29)
The roof trims are grey BS 4800 (10.A.05). Alternative colours are available at additional cost. The reverse-face is always light grey.
BICYCLE STAND: Grey BS 4800 (00.A.09). GATE: Grey galvanized.

Construction

SHELTER: Profiled, hot-dipped galvanized steel panels with an embossed plastic coating to the weather-face and a protective paint finish to the reverse-face.
BICYCLE STAND: Armortec® coated steel.
GATE: Galvanized steel vertically-barred double gate with padlock facility.

Delivery

The Bi-Shelter range is designed to be delivered in kit form for simple self-assembly by our customers. It is appreciated that some of our customers may not have facilities for site assembly and we will be pleased to quote for our site team to provide this service if required. Installation

The minimum base size required is 4050 x 2250mm. Assuming no suitable existing surface, the base is to be a minimum thickness of 125mm concrete on to hardcore. The base should be flat, level and square, and preferably be raised slightly above the surrounding ground level. Base fixing is accomplished using the expansion bolts supplied. 10mm holes are to be drilled in the concrete base through pre-drilled holes in the shelter plinth to a minimum depth of 90mm.
